75'x300' lot on the 4th fairway of the Heritage Heights Golf Course

Excavation was started on
June 6, 2006

It didn't take long to make a big hole

The next day everything was ready

Next step was to pour the footings

And once the footings were in......

....the forms for the foundation walls

...and then they were ready too!

Some steel beams arrived and then the floor joists.

Finally on June 28th came the big day we had been waiting for....

....when the main floor was laid on and we could.....

....tee off onto the 4th fairway!

Pretty soon the walls were framed....

...and Laura got her first look at the view from her room

All during the month of July...

...things really began to take shape.

Work "heated up" in August...

both downstairs....

...in the upstairs ensuite bathroom...

...and looking through the kitchen out the back windows

By the time Warren went back to school in September the doors were on

and the exterior was ready for bricks and stucco.

(09/11/06) As this south-facing pan of the upper living area shows, things are getting ready for paint and flooring

(09/11/06) Our master bedroom has a few touches left as well

In mid-September the bricks started piling up

Our ensuite jacuzzi is behind that window

In early October they were painting and flooring

And the kitchen cabinets were starting to arrive

The wet autumn delayed the driveway until October 18

But by the end of October the floors were cleaned...

All the painting was done.....

And the kitchen cabinets were in
